Over 110 years ago, our family acquired the Cal Marquès de Llívia farmhouse. Originally from Bor de Cerdanya, our ancestors built their legacy in Barcelona as cowmen and butchers before returning to the mountains in 1915 to establish what would become Ca l’Abellanet.

For 85 years, this was a thriving farm—home to sheep, dairy cattle, and horses. As one of the town’s most prominent estates, it once hummed with the activity of farmhands and maids, even boasting the second telephone in Llívia and the village’s first canopy tractor—which we still lovingly maintain and use today.

In the year 2000, we began the careful restoration of the house, preserving every ounce of its Cerdan architectural heritage. We opened our doors on August 8, 2003, and today, after more than 20 years of welcoming guests, we remain dedicated to excellence. Our commitment to warm, attentive, and professional service is the heart of the experience we share at Hotel Bernat de So.
