Cerdanya Activa

Cerdanya Activa Programme

Cerdanya Activa

From 24 June to 11 September there is a different activity each day: hiking, health and culture. A free service for guests of the Hotel Bernat de So.

There are 18 ski resorts 15 minutes away from the Hotel (maximum distance: 25 km) where this sport can be practiced in all its different varieties: Alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, off-piste skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, etc.
In addition, ski and snowboard courses and mountain guides are available.

There are two excellent 18-hole golf courses in La Cerdaña: The Royal Golf Club of La Cerdanya, with two 18-hole courses, and the Fontanal Golf Club.
The offering is completed by Golf Sant Marc in Puigcerdá, with 15 Par 3s and 3 Par 4s and Golf Municipal de Font Romeu, a nine-hole par 36 course.

Hot Springs

There are three places to enjoy the hot sulphurous springs found throughout the region: the Roman baths at Dorres, the baths at Llo and the Thermal Baths of Saint Thomas les Bains.

Horse riding and horse trails

An outing on horseback is yet another way of enjoying nature. In La Cerdaña there is a large variety of riding clubs where you can ride, take classes and go on excursions of one or more days.

Activities for children

The Yellow Train, the Angles Animal Park, the Sant Guillem Park, the Ferro fountain, the Castell cistern, the Passet pond, and more.
Just a short walk from the hotel you can find the multi-coloured rural countryside with fields under cultivation and cattle grazing in pastures.

Air sports

There is a complete and variegated offering in La Cerdaña for lovers of air sports: hot air ballooning, small planes, helicopters and, for the more daring, ultralights and gliders. Flying lessons and courses can also be arranged by the hotel.

Routes 4x4

Adventure and tourism all in one, driving along country trails and visiting out-of-the-way places in the area.

Culinary route

Mountain cooking, a speciality of the Pyrenees, adds a special attraction to La Cerdaña. The hotel can organise a culinary route so you can sample the best typical dishes of our region.

The Romanesque Way

The Vía Románica crosses the regions of Rosellon, Conflent, Cerdaña and Alt Urgell. It includes a series of sites, each with its own individuality and special attraction, which share common cultural roots dating back to the Middle Ages. Not to be missed are the Romanesque hermitages located in lonely redoubts of incomparable beauty.

The privileged location of the Cerdaña Valley offers many different possibilities for hiking and walking in the mountains. This is a sport which is both relaxing and easy to practice.
For those who take their hiking seriously there are various different types of blazed trails: GRs (long routes), PRs (short roots) and SLs (local routes). For the more difficult hikes the hotel can provide experienced guides.

Mountain Bike

There are 280 kilometres of blazed trails throughout La Cerdaña for the practice of this sport. Various maps are available indicating the difficulty of the routes.
The hotel has a bike rack and pressurised water to clean the bikes after the outing. Mountain bikes can be rented from the hotel.

Climbing, vía ferrata and climbing wall

This sport can be practiced at different levels. For the more expert, there are some impressive walls in the Cordillera del Cadí. At five minutes from Llívia there is a vía ferrata with two routes of two different levels of difficulty. There is also a climbing wall in Osseja Park.

And more

Quad rental, archery, caving, sailing, ice skating and other outdoor activities.
